About Us

Formerly situated in the picturesque town of Patagonia, Arizona, "For The Love Of Botanicals" has recently relocated to Cairo, Georgia, just a short distance from Tallahassee, Florida. With great excitement, owner's, Aishah Lurry and her husband Sebastian Lurry bring their locally grown fresh cut flowers and exquisite handmade flameless botanical candles to North Florida. Their mission has always been to make local flowers easily accessible, reducing the environmental impact. The move to Georgia has further enhanced their sustainability efforts, thanks to the abundant water resources and humid climate that make farming more viable.

Aishah's passion for gardening blossomed through years of tending to flowers in her own home before sharing them with the public. Her dedication to sustainable farming practices led her to work with the Borderlands Restoration Network, an organization specializing in the restoration of native plants in Southern Arizona. "My time with the network equipped me with invaluable skills that I could apply to flower farming. I also gained a deeper understanding of incorporating native flowers to enhance the sustainability of our practices," she shares.

Sebastian, on the other hand, developed his love for farming while working alongside his father in their family garden as a child and assisting on his grandparents' farms. His expertise in gardening reached new heights when he served as the garden manager at the renowned "Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center" in Patagonia, Arizona.

Aishah and Sebastian's paths crossed over 12 years ago in Patagonia, Arizona, during a Thanksgiving potluck at the "Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center". Sebastian's famous raw, vegan sweet potato pie and Aishah's delectable pecan praline and maple walnut ice creams brought them together. As they got to know each other, they discovered a shared passion for botanical gardens and exploring the wonders of nature. Aishah was captivated by Sebastian's knowledge of edible plants in the wild and his ability to climb trees to retrieve coconuts on Saint Johns Island.

We must  express our immense gratitude for the incredible support we received in Patagonia and Tucson, Arizona. The warm welcome and open arms extended to us will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

In March 2023, Aishah and Sebastian made the difficult decision to leave their beloved Patagonia, Arizona. They carried a sense of guilt for cultivating flowers in an environment where water scarcity was becoming increasingly prevalent. Thus, they chose to relocate to Sebastian's family land in Cairo, Georgia. This land, passed down through generations, fills them with excitement as they embark on the journey of nurturing and cultivating this precious piece of their heritage.

As we write this, we find ourselves nearing the end of a challenging growing season in Cairo, Georgia. The soil here resembles beach sand, demanding extensive care and nurturing, a process that will take years to perfect. Despite this obstacle, we have managed to produce a stunning array of flowers, giving us hope that each season will only bring further improvement and beauty.

To support our farm and continue building essential infrastructure, we have decided to launch an online gift shop and boutique. The proceeds from your purchases on our site will directly contribute to the development of raised beds and greenhouses, necessary for overcoming the sandy soil and extending our growing season. We are incredibly grateful for your support and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks in advance.

Our hope is to connect with fellow flower enthusiasts, growers, and supporters of locally grown farms and agriculture. By purchasing our exquisite botanical T-shirts, candles, and more, you are not only acquiring a beautiful product but also lending a helping hand in cultivating the land and nurturing our farm in Cairo, Georgia.
